Description
‘Going Solo’ is a series of graded woodwind solos that sets out to bridge the gap between music for beginners and solos pieces for more advanced players. It aims to introduce the younger player to an essentially idiomatic repertoire, consisting of transcriptions of famous solos from standard orchestral masterpieces, together with arrangements of pieces in styles ranging from the Renaissance to the 20th century. The result is a lively collection designed to encourage a fluent technique and to enable the young player to face a conductor or an audience with complete confidence.
